As more consumers use their smartphones for everything from price comparison to shopping, sales through mobile now account for more than 10% of all purchases on eBay UK.
But how often do you check your product searches and listings on a mobile device? Here's one problem with the eBay mobile application which may be losing you sales.
Note: The issue discussed in this article has now been resolved in updated versions of the eBay mobile application, however the importance of checking your listings on mobile devices still applies.
The eBay Mobile application allows you and your buyers to have eBay available at any time and as mobile adoption increases it's becoming more important to check how you appear on mobile devices and applications.
One issue that occurred was with a listing that had free postage and the option of collection in person.

When the item was viewed in the eBay mobile application (on the iPhone) it stated that postage was Local Pickup Only. Any buyer looking at the item would assume it couldn't be posted and move on if collection wasn't appropriate.

Removing the collection in person option made the mobile application show the postage as Free, which gave the correct message to the buyer.

It's now more important than ever to check how your eBay items appear in different mobile devices and applications.
